The second annual BHS English Department Diverse Reads Challenge begins in October. We invite students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and community members to participate by choosing a book that fits the relevant month's category, reading it with an open mind, and reflecting on its impact. Readers can choose to participate in the challenge for as many or as few months as they want. Throughout the year, participants will have the opportunity to share what they are reading and their thoughts on the books. Once the reading challenge comes to a close, we will gather to celebrate the stories of our world, share our reflections, and honor those whose work to put stories on the page helps us all feel a little closer.
If you would like to participate in this year's challenge or want more information on the program, please REGISTER HERE or email English Department Chair, Shannon Janovitz.
